Fire Emblem: Three Houses #3

  • JERALT, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • Side note: I’ve always found Leonie’s Jeralt-worship thing really weird. Even getting more of her backstory in the support scenes and hearing that Jeralt came by her town when she was a kid and she looked up to him– nah. Please chill. Get a different personality trait.
  • So! Many Monsters!
  • Now two paralogues with this map and its deceptively similar setup: ally on the top left, 3+ monsters spawning, get to the ally ASAP, bring Hapi or Constance who are incredibly underleveled/underpowered and hope they don’t die!!!!!

Hello, Kronya and Solon! Thanks for the murder and Byleth’s ascension to Enlightened One! I thought that this was a post-timeskip move, as in Byleth shows up to the monastery after the timeskip with this new class and hair, but apparently not! It makes it all the more absurd to be running around the monastery gardening and treating the students to lunch while also fused with a goddess. Students, including random no-line NPCs who only have speech bubbles floating over their heads, are also baffled by what happened but. It’s fine. Uncommon fish are in the pond today!

Since this is my first playthrough where I finally understand dnd/RPG’s/etc., it makes me more conscious of classes. For instance, Byleth’s Enlightened One class also has “specialties” in faith and brawling? Like… do I want to play through this again and make my Byleth a war monk this time around?? What would that be like?? If only every playthrough didn’t take, I don’t know, 70 hours? Genuinely I have no idea- my NG+ save files keep stacking up so it shows my total time, which is about 275 hours? My Nintendo switch profile says 315.

Anyway, if Byleth became a brawler, what would become of my beloved brawlers Balthus and Raphael? What if I did a run focusing on everyone’s hidden talent? I think at some point I did want to make Lorenz a Dark Knight- it’s not too late to do that since he’s only level 25 or so. Hmm!

Something else I’ve focused on these past couple of days has been authority, and basically drilling all my characters on that so they can get better battallions. Again, when I had absolutely no clue what I was doing a couple of years ago, I vaguely understood that some characters’ battalions were great and some were not, then left it at that. But… hear me out… what if everyone had good battalions? Let me start making a to-do list for myself:

  • Unlock Lorenz as a Dark Knight
  • Battallions!!
  • Lol I lied that’s it

What I haven’t included here is that FFXIV: Dawntrail is coming out way too soon and there’s a good chance it’ll devour my life. Too many games, too little time! The subheading prophecy has come true. 🙁

EDIT: Forgot my own subheading, nbd
